Givenchy - Le Rouge Baume - Review
I have tried various lip products from Givenchy before. I was so stoked, that I wanted to give one of their lip balms a try as well. Givenchy has exciting lip balms. The product I am reviewing today is an OG lip balm.
It has the same packaging as all the other lipsticks from the Le Rouge line, it is just the cap that differs. It is simple, with a thin coating of what is supposed to be a leather-like material (it is much thinner). You can read my review of three of the Le Rouge Deep Velvet here.
The product within the tube is not that steady, if you use it while twisted out too much, it could break.
This is what it looks like swatched on my hand. I swatched this several times, so it is noticable for a photo. When applied normally, it is not too shiny on the lips. The texture and finish is similar to the Rouge Dior Lip Balm.
It has no color, but it makes my lips look lighter and paler a bit. Unlike the Rouge Coco Baume, this one did not have glitter particles in it. The finish is perfect for someone who does not wear make-up or just does not want their lip balm to look flashy.
It claims to be of 96% of natural ingredients. Accordingly, the scent is only light. It has a high concentration of jojoba seed extract and Acmella oleracea flower extract which makes it moisturizing.
You can use it if you feel your lips getting dry and it will moisturize them within the same day. It gives a luxurious feel on the lips. It is a reliable product that will get you direct results. It is comfortable to wear and feels lightweight. It will not make your lips end up to become dryer, as many assume. Since this does not have much of a taste, you will not be tempted to lick your lips. Lip balms like these are a must-have product for the upcoming colder season. I recommend it if you like to enjoy a little luxury for your lip care.
